We’ve talked about the routes, we’ve talked about the venues, we’ve talked about safety. Now we’ve covered the fun stuff happening off of the trail! Read along to learn more

Yoga with Carol Ross

Carol teaches yoga in Summerville, SC, and considers yoga to be a physical and mental tool that holistically promotes the maintenance of good health and allows us to achieve the ultimate state of well-being. Carol will be offering 30-minute sessions before and after each days ride with morning sessions to be a warm-up/stretch out (more energetic) and afternoon/early evening sessions to be more soothing/ relaxing (more calming)

Catering with Special Ops

 

 

Meals will be provided by Special Ops Events and Top Shelf Catering. Special Ops Events is a Charleston-based company that is Veteran owned/operated and is proud to hold the food and beverage contract with the State of South Carolina for the Patriots Point Developmental Authority, The Citadel, and the South Carolina Ports Authority to name a few.

Thursday

With our night one kick-off at Poinsett State Park, riders can start the festivities at the Fat Tire Build-a-Bar, offering cold beer to soothe whatever pre-ride jitters you may or may not be experiencing. Happy Hour will be from 5:00-6:00 PM.

Dinner will be served from 6:00-8:00 PM and will include: Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast w/Pineapple Salsa, Fresh Green Beans, Roasted Red Potatoes, and Banana Pudding.

After dinner, riders can enjoy the soulful tunes of Ward Buckheister. Ward Buckheister has been performing exciting live shows with an ever-changing setlist of harmony & horn-filled original music for 20 years.  This summer he is excited to be able to perform solo, bringing guitar loops, live drumming, and the trombone together for a fun one-man-band-style show.

6:00-9:00 am: Before the first day on the trail, riders can fuel up with breakfast. With a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito for our carnivorous friends, and a vegetarian option of a breakfast burrito with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese with fruit.

Mechanical Services will also be available should you or your bicycle need them!

Before departing for the next campsite, riders can participate in a yoga class lead certified instructor by Carol Ross! Get your muscles loose and ready for a day cycling through the trees.

11:00-1:00 pm: Riders can enjoy lunch with a grilled chicken caesar wrap with a bag of chips and fruit. Vegetarian options are also available.

3:00pm: After arriving at Santee State Park, riders can once again crack open a well-deserved beer at the Fat Tire Happy Hour. In addition to delicious beverages, riders can unwind and relax with a yoga class. Help loosen your muscles after a long day spent cycling.

5:00- 7:00 pm: Dinner will be served with a glazed ham in a soy reduction, mixed vegetables, potato salad, and a chocolate chip cookie.

6:00- 9:00 pm: Sit down (or dance) while enjoying the fun, melodic notes of Noah Grove Music.

Saturday

6:00-9:00 am: Once again, riders can fuel up with a complimentary breakfast. With a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito for our carnivorous friends, and a vegetarian option of a breakfast burrito with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese with fruit.  Mechanical Services will also be available should you or your bicycle need them!

11:00-1:00 pm: Riders can enjoy a lunch with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available.

3:00 pm -: After arriving at Biggins Creek, riders can enjoy happy hour, or unwind with the help of a yoga class.

5:00-7:00 pm: Enjoy a dinner of goat cheese stuffed chicken, steamed broccoli, wild rice, and a German Chocolate Cake

6:00-9:00 pm: Sit down and enjoy a ‘Bike-In Movie’ brought to you by Fat Tire.

Sunday

6:00-9:00 am: Before setting out for Awendaw City Park, grab a bite of a ham, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito (or) a Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese with fruit. Yoga and mechanical services will also be available before setting off on the days ride.

11:00 am –: The bar opens and the party begins! Single-day riders, families, and friends can gather to enjoy the celebrations and cheer riders over the finish line!

12:00 pm-: If you’re not hungry then you’ll be missing out. Dig in on our Lowcountry Boil, with potatoes, shrimp, sausage, and corn! After grabbing a bite to eat, get to grooving with The Sweetgrass Party Band! Fun for the whole family, Sweetgrass Party Band is a six-piece, high-energy party band from Myrtle Beach, SC who play music from today back to the ’50s.
